prizeFree-For-Nothing Book Prize:
Somewhere on this website, there is hidden in the body of text a series of three clues to help a lucky winner find a Free-For-Nothing Book Prize. The clues can be anywhere on the site. The first clue will read: freefornothing, followed by the book’s title (example: freefornothing 1776). The second clue will read: freefornothing and the author’s name (example: freefornothing McCullough). The final clue will read: freefornothing and the month’s code-word (example: freefornothing roadkill). To win the FreeForNothing book or a gift certificate of the same value, you must be the FIRST PERSON of the month to come to the bookshop’s front counter IN THE FLESH and utter the TITLE of the book, the AUTHOR’s name and the CODE-WORD (unprompted). You may send a surrogate to claim your prize, but, please, no phone calls or emails – gets too rowdy.

LAST MONTH’S WINNER: Debbie Eichel from Cushing, Maine, won Fresh Maine Salads: Innovative Recipes from Appetizers to Desserts, by Cynthia Finnemore Simonds [$18.95 paperback]. The codeword was “cucumber.”
